This heavyweight rug with a pale and cool look is attributed to Yazd but is of uncertain origin. Not a kilim in the sense there is no slit tapestry.It is woven in a mixture of fibers and wool of which cotton is predominant. This very solid weaving would be suitable for heavy use although the braided end might require maintenance.
